Vinification
The grapes are handpicked; they originate from a single harvest and the winemaking process follows the traditional methods for producing Port Wine.
After the grapes are partially stripped, they are crushed by foot in old stone bin called a “lagare”.
Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature and is stopped when brandy (firewater) is added. This wine has tremendous aging potential.
Taste
Tawny with orange nuances. Well balanced, good acidity and freshness, with aromas of grapes, dried fruits and some vanilla.
Smooth and silky with strong texture and a long finish.
Cocktails and pairings
It can be served with coffee or chocolates. Perfect with desserts such as crème brulée or fruit pie, as well as desserts made from chocolate, dried fruits and caramel.
To be served at a temperature between 14 to 16ºC.
